Recreation - The North-Face 1996 Retro Nuptse Packable Parachute Puffer Coat

The Nuptse is probably the most iconic of all puffers. This recreated 1996 retro Nuptse 700 fill packable jacket was based upon The North Face's original and retains all of what users liked about it: big, chunky baffles, a boxy shape that comes down to the hips, and large, bold embroidery for both the logo on the front left side of the chest and on the back right shoulder. It features a shiny ripstop nylon body with a durable water-resistant coating; in addition to that, there are reinforced shoulder panels which provide additional durability to help withstand daily use. When zipped closed, the stand-up collar will sit high on your neck and the hood can be tucked into the pocket of the jacket so you can easily pull it out should you find yourself in inclement weather.

Warmth is provided by a 700 fill down insulation which traps heat without adding unnecessary bulkiness. Down insulation can be compressed easily, allowing the jacket to fold up into the right hand pocket of the jacket for easy storage while traveling lightly. There are two secure zippered hand pockets to store important items and adjustable hook & loop cuff closures along with an adjustable cinch cord at the bottom of the jacket will assist in keeping cold air out of the jacket. Relaxed fit provides enough room to wear over other layers such as hoodies and/or sweaters. This item is available in traditional black as well as several different color-blocked options (brown, olive green, rusty orange & white) each being suitable for everyday use in the city, weekend getaways, and/or as a layer during cold weather seasons.
